On 9/10/24, Lt. Carrillo received information from SRO Allred in regard to sexual acts between a student and an adult male. An investigation began, and several interviews were conducted. Two suspects were established, James Hoffer (38) & Eugene Hoffer III (40). Lt. Carrillo obtained arrest warrants for both subjects on 9/11/24, and they were both taken into custody on 9/12/24. A follow up interview was conducted with both subjects who admitted to the sexual acts. James Hoffer was charged with two counts Lewd and Lascivious Battery (victim 12-16 years of age) and Eugene Hoffer III was charged with (Principle) Lewd and Lascivious Battery (victim 12-16 years of age).
