Operation Southern Slow Down is a joint effort with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the southeastern states of Florida, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee. During this week-long campaign, law enforcement agencies across these five states will work together to address speed and aggressive driving.
Marshal Q. Jones and the entire Arcadia Police Department will be enforcing these traffic laws during the week of July 15 – July 20, 2024. Our goal is to simply hold these drivers who choose to look past these posted speed limits throughout this City of Arcadia accountable, and more importantly in our various construction zones. The objective is to make sure we all arrive to our destinations safely, and the key to doing such is slowing down. Drive safe Arcadia!
