On July 3, 2024, Officers were dispatched to the area of West Elementary School in regard to juveniles using Orbeez guns to shoot at a residence. After further investigation, it was learned that this group of juveniles have had ongoing issues with the juveniles that reside in the residence they shot. A short time later, three juveniles were arrested for using the orbeez guns in a malicious manner, shooting at the residence. The juveniles were detained by the Department of Juvenile Justice.
Marshal Jones would like to remind our youth that the orbeez gun is not designed to be used in this manner, and could cause harm and/or property damage. We encourage parents and guardians to discuss these types of dangers with their children. It is also important to remember that if you commit a crime within the City of Arcadia, you will be held accountable.
