DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office
On June 6, 2024, the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office received a call regarding a hit-and-run accident. Thanks to the swift action of our #TeamDCSO law enforcement deputies, the suspected vehicle was identified and stopped. Inside were Glen Arthur III and Sarah Barnes, with Barnes initially hiding in the backseat.
Corporal Nunez and K9 Xena arrived on the scene, and after a thorough search, they uncovered illegal narcotics including cocaine and methamphetamine-filled syringes. Both suspects were arrested and now face multiple charges, including Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Hit and Run.
