DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Safety Unit Deputy Gammad pulled over a vehicle racing down SE Highway 70 at 83 mph in the 60 mph posted zone. Corporal Baker and K9 Liberty assisted in the traffic stop, locating illegal drugs in the vehicle including cocaine, and various medications without prescriptions.
Additionally, the passenger, Joseph Gary Hyde, had an active warrant out of Broward County for violation of probation.
The driver, Jennifer Lynn Fellows, was arrested and is facing charges including 2 counts of possession of controlled substance without prescription and possession of drug paraphernalia. Hyde was arrested and is facing charges including possession of controlled substance without prescription and possession of drug paraphernalia.
