DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office Launches Back-to-School Donation Drive
DeSoto County, June 20, 2024- The DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office announces the commencement of its annual Back-to-School Donation Drive, aimed at supporting local students as they prepare for the upcoming school year.
Starting next week, the Sheriff’s Office will deploy a dedicated trailer for school supply donations, inviting community members to contribute essential items. The initiative seeks to equip students with the tools they need to achieve success in their academic pursuits.
All donations received will be carefully packed and distributed during the Back-to-School Drive-Thru event scheduled for August. The event will be hosted directly at the Sheriff’s Office premises, ensuring a convenient drop-off point for contributors.
Donation hours are scheduled from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, during which donors can directly deposit items inside the accessible truck and trailer. For those unable to visit during these hours, an after-hours option allows supplies to be left securely in the Sheriff’s Office lobby.
