At the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office, we take every school threat with the utmost seriousness. Earlier this morning, we received a tip about a potential threat involving “DeSoto High School.” Our Criminal Investigative Division and Law Enforcement Deputies immediately began investigating the situation. We confirm the threat referred to DeSoto High School in Texas, not in our county.
Our detectives have been in contact with the DeSoto Police Department in Texas, and after investigation, we determined there is no danger to any schools in DeSoto County.
