DeSoto County Sheriffs Narcotic’s Unit conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Highway 31. K9 Kita was present on scene and conducted a free air sniff of the vehicle, which yielded a positive result for the possible presence of narcotics in the vehicle.
A search of the vehicle was conducted and a small baggy of methamphetamine was located, along with a Smith and Wesson revolver.
Tami Lynn Harrelson was placed under arrest and charged with Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of ammunition by a convicted felon, possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia.
