DeSoto County Historical Society’s 19th “Pioneer Day” This Saturday

Tomorrow is the annual DeSoto County Historical Society Pioneer Day & BBQ at the Turner Agric-Civic Center from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.

The DeSoto County Historical Society’s Annual Pioneer Day and BBQ showcases the history and heritage of southwest Florida with the Arcadia American Legion sponsored Antique Tractor and Hit & Miss Engine Show on the 4th Saturday in March at the Turner Agri-Civic Center, 2250 N.E. Road St. Fun for the whole family includes special and traditional Florida foods plus bodacious barbecue, demonstrations of old-fashioned skills and crafts, legendary characters, musical entertainment, live animals, vintage automobiles and antique engines, Florida authors and artists, a free “discover history” hands-on children’s area with old-fashioned games and more.
