**Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Cracks Down on Illegal Activities at Massage Parlors**
On Tuesday, the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit and Warrants Apprehension Unit concluded an undercover investigation aimed at addressing the illegal solicitation of sexual acts at massage parlors in Charlotte County. This operation followed multiple complaints regarding illicit activities at New Island Spa, located at 3005 Caring Way, Port Charlotte.
During the investigation, Zhengxia Sun, born September 22, 1975, agreed to perform sexual acts with an undercover detective in exchange for $100 in cash. Sun was subsequently arrested and charged with Solicitation of Prostitution.
“This activity is neither welcomed nor wanted in this county. My deputies will continue to conduct these types of investigations, and arrests will continue,” stated Sheriff Bill Prummell.
The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office is collaborating with the Florida Department of Health to address and regulate these establishments.
