Arrests Made In Suspected Burglaries

Over the last month, The Arcadia Police Department and the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office received several complaints of stolen vehicles and vehicle burglaries. The suspect(s) were mostly targeting Kia vehicles. An investigation began into these crimes, ending in a lawful search warrant granted for a residence on N. 16th Ave on May 1, 2024. Herman McMinns (16) was arrested and charged with multiple counts of Grand Theft-Motor Vehicle, multiple counts of Burglary to a Conveyance to include one of those vehicles being an Emergency Vehicle, Possession of a Firearm by a Juvenile Delinquent, and Felony Criminal Mischief. McMinns is currently in custody at the Juvenile Detention Center.
Also during the search warrant, Tyriyonna McMinns (18) was observed attempting to leave the residence as she was concealing evidence attached to these crimes. McMinns was arrested and charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence.
