On 7/25/24, our road patrol unit conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle whose passenger had active DeSoto County felony warrants. The wanted subject was quickly taken into custody.
The units on scene made contact with the driver, Jose Trujillo-Sanchez (22), where the odor of marijuana was coming from the vehicle. After further investigation 92.9 grams of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia were located in the vehicle. Trujillo-Sanchez was arrested and charged with Possession of Controlled Substance (Marijuana) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
